1. Protect!
Fire damage, water damage, spills, fingerprints, moving, aging, deterioration. Need we say more? Even if you’ve stored your pictures in a “safe” place, not only are they kept from enjoyment, but they are still within harm’s reach. Within a second, the memories that you and your family treasure can be destroyed. If we scan your photos and provide them to you digitally, you can outsource them several places (your hard drive, external hard drive, email, others’ digital device) away from harm.
2. Organize If we scan your photos, you can easily organize them by year, date, place, person, or any way you like! This can easily be done by putting them on a disc, moving them to the cloud, sorting them in digital folders, or simply uploading them to a photo printing company’s website.
3. Share Once we scan your photos, you have digital files that can be shared in less than a minute. Then, you can upload your scanned photos to your favorite social media site (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), or you can easily email them to your relative that lives 500 miles away.
4. Give Gifts A captured moment in time is one of the most beautiful gifts you can share with a loved one. By scanning your photos, you have access to these memories that you can make into a photo book, a coffee mug, a special Christmas ornament, or simply a framed piece of artwork.
5. Memorialize Capturing and preserving photos allows you to easily memorialize loved ones. By allowing us to scan your photos, you can send photos to the newspaper, enhance a ceremony, create an online memorial or journal, or assemble a photo book for genealogy purposes.
6. Contribute to History Museums, schools, churches, historical societies, clubs, and communities need photos to keep history alive. If we scan your photos, you can preserve these memories for yourself and these wonderful organizations that need your memories to educate the current generation by commemorating the past generations.
7. Find Meaning How many times do we look through boxes of photos and realize we don’t know anything about the photo? If we scan your photos, you can finally label photos with important information. You may even find yourself connecting with distant relatives that can help you! While you are on this journey, you can give meaning to that big box that once just held a “bunch of old images.”
8. Enhance Once we scan your photos, there are options to enhance faded photographs to restore them to their original quality. By housing your memories digitally, you can also hold on to the original photo while giving new life to a memory.
9. Preserve
Preserving a memory is more important than saving a physical photo that has been handled 100s of times over the years. By allowing us to scan you photos, you are ensuring not that the memory that these pictures hold will be passed on to future generations, no matter how long that paper photo holds together.
10. Enjoy Peace of Mind
Finally, and most importantly, you have peace of mind once we scan your photos. You can know that your treasured memories are not going anywhere; and you, your friends, and your relatives will have instant access to them. Even five and six (and more!) generations from now, your story will be preserved for others to enjoy.
