Having your treasured pictures scanned isn’t always “as easy as 1, 2, 3”. But when you take the right steps, picture scanning can be easier than you thought! With Scan My Pix, your photos are treated with the utmost care and scanned into the format of your choice. At Scan My Pix, we enjoy reviewing the memories of our customers, and we know that having your photos digitized is an important task. Let us help you take the right steps toward having your treasured photos scanned to a digital format.

Old photo prints

Choose the photos that you would like to have scanned

The first and many times most tedious step in the photo scanning process is deciding what pictures to have digitally scanned. Some may simply throw their hands up and send in entire boxes of old photos, while others meticulously choose which pictures they think are worth the price. With easy package pricing, our customers can have the best of both worlds. Rather than counting out each and every picture that you would like to have scanned, you can simply send your photos in bulk for nearly the same price! Our package pricing ranges from individual scan pricing, 250 – 500 scans, 500 – 1,000, 1,000 – 1,500, 1,500 – 2,500, 2,500 – 5,000, and 5,000 – 10,000. As more scans are selected, pricing per photo gets reduced drastically! Shuffling through each and every photo to consider its worth is no longer necessary with our range of pricing packages.

Choose a trusted photo scanning company

Secondly and also very importantly, choosing a trustworthy company to scan your photos is equally as important as choosing which photos to have scanned. At Scan My Pix, we not only care for each photo that we touch, we also value your privacy when dealing with your personal photos. Your privacy is important to us and the final digital format of the pictures will be returned to you directly or to the person(s) of your choosing. Digital images that belong to you will never be found circulating the internet on our account. We happily give our customers the satisfaction of digitally sharing your own photos with friends and family for all to see. We care about your images and will keep them safe during our time with them.

Choose the quality of photo scans

Choosing the quality of image scans is simple. The choice depends on two things: your budget and your desired use for the scanned photos. 300dpi resolution images make great electronic photo gifts and preserve images in a smaller, manageable sized digital format. These scans are also the most cost effective. 600dpi resolution images are great for digitally sharing, but also for reprints for friends and family. Image quality will be preserved well with the 600dpi choice. TIFF files should be rarely chosen for special occasion or old photos that are best when preserved with full quality image resolution. TIFF files are large and not easily shared digitally, but these can be reprinted almost flawlessly, without the loss of any resolution. Choosing the best resolution doesn’t have to be difficult!

Mail in or drop off your order

Finally, and most importantly, bring or mail your photos to our office! From here, we do all of the hard work of digitizing your special pictures. Your prints, negatives and slides will be returned to you digitally via Dropbox and also on a FREE CD or DVD! And don’t worry, each and every one of your original prints will be returned to you so that you can decide what to do with your treasured prints. This final step is simple, but imperative when it comes to preserving your photos.
