It was hard for me to watch. It was one of the first times I had seen my father cry. The house that had once been a gathering place of family meals, laughter and hugs was now an empty shadow of what once had been. We walked through each room with memories flooding our minds like a hurricane until we found them. As we pulled out dozens of boxes of photos, we spent hours looking through each one as Dad and his sisters recounted each memory as if it were currently happening. That’s when it hit me.
